Hethersett Hawks Cycle Speedway Club is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the well being of all its members. The club believes that it is important that all members, coaches, administrators, and parents associated with the club should, at all times, show respect and understanding for the safety and welfare of others. Therefore, members are encouraged to be open at all times, and to share any concerns or complaints that they may have about any aspect of the club with a club official.
As a member of Hethersett Hawks Cycle Speedway Club, you are expected to abide by the following:
· All members must play within the rules, and respect all officials and their decisions.
· All members must respect the rights, dignity, and worth of all participants regardless of age, gender, ability, race, cultural background, religious beliefs, or sexual identity.
· Members should keep to agreed timings for training, and competitions or inform their coach or team manager if they are going to be late.
· Members must wear suitable kit: long sleeved top, long trousers, long socks, suitable footwear, a helmet, and gloves for all training and match sessions
· Members are not allowed to smoke, consume alcohol, or consume drugs of any kind within the track and its immediate surroundings or whilst representing the club. This also applies to all family members and supporters.
· Hethersett Hawks Cycle Speedway Club will not tolerate bullying of any kind.
· Annual Hethersett Hawks membership is free. Riders must pay fees of £2 per Club Night/training session and £3 per match promptly. Fees for competitions range £1 and upwards, payable on the day to the event organiser. A British Cycling Membership is required for riders competing in matches and competitions except for the HSBC Go-Ride series. (A British Cycling Membership is free for the first year then £26 a year for riders aged 12+, £18 for under 12’s)
