South-East Grand Prix Round 2 – Gt Blakenham
HETHERSETT HAWKS / YELLOW BRICK MORTGAGES had another busy weekend of racing with some of the younger members having four matches. Action started at Great Blakenham on Saturday with Round 2 of the South-East Grand Prix, part of which doubles as a regional round of the British Youth & Junior League. The Hawks took a squad of 21 riders to the Suffolk venue and the performances in the categories that count have put the club well placed to qualify for the National Rounds.
Six Hawks made it to A Finals with the best being Dave Martin who was runner-up in the Veterans. There were third places for Nyla El-Labany, Oscar Copeland, Matthew Sidell and Aiesha Musa while Amelia Dodson came fourth. A number of the younger Hawks had their first matches outside Norfolk so gained valuable experience despite their nerves. Full Hawks Grand Prix finishes –
