Upcoming Racing Opportunities

RACING OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL MEMBERS

 In the next two weeks there are some opportunities to race competitively for all members, all ages and abilities, including those who have just done Club Night so far.

Please take this opportunity to gain some experience and support these events.

 

Saturday May 13th

Event – South East Grand Prix

Venue – Eaton Park, Norwich

Times – 12 noon – Under-8s and Under-10s

1.30 p.m. – Under-12s, Under-14s and Girls

3 p.m. – Under-18s, Seniors and Veterans

How to enter – book in at the track at least 30 minutes beforehand

Cost – £2.50

Notes

  • If you are not a British Cycling member we can get you a FREE one-year membership – speak to Mel or Lisa
  • If you need bike, helmet, gloves or team shirt speak to Mel or Kevin
  • If you are Under-18 then you will also be scoring points for Hethersett in the British Youth & Junior League

Wednesday May 17th

Event – Norfolk GO-RIDE Series

Venue – Hethersett

Time – 7 p.m.

Categories – Under-10, Under-13, Under-16, Ladies/Girls, Senior

How to enter – book in at the track by 6.30 or contact Mel in advance

Cost – £1

Notes

  • You do not need to be a British Cycling Member to take part
  • There will be prizes in all categories except Senior
  • You will not need a club shirt in this event

Saturday May 20th

Event – East Anglian Individual Championships

Venue – Hethersett

Times –   1 p.m. – Under-8s and Under-16s

3 p.m. – Under-10s, Under-19s, Veterans

5 p.m. – Under-13s, Seniors

How to enter – Book in at the track at least 15 minutes beforehand

Cost – £1.50 plus £1 for each category  (members can enter as many categories as they want provided they are eligible by age)

  • If you are not a British Cycling member we can get you a FREE one-year membership – speak to Mel or Lisa

 

Sunday May 21st

Event – Women’s League (open to all females any age)

Venue – Ipswich

Time – will find out if needed

How to enter – anyone can enter individual competition by turning up on the day

Cost – Probably £1.50

 

Notes on Age Qualifications

Under-8s   – born 2009 or later

Under-10s – born 2007 or later

Under-12s – born 2005 or later

Under-13s – born 2004 or later

Under-14s – born 2003 or later

Under-16s – born 2001 or later

Under-18s – born 1999 or later

Under-19s – born 1998 or later

Veterans – born 1977 or earlier
